Leather Care

Calfskin

- Calfskin is a premium leather made from the hide of young cattle. It’s known for its fine grain, smooth texture, and soft feel, while still offering good durability. Compared to full-grown cowhide, calfskin is thinner and more supple, developing a subtle patina over time

- Because of its smooth finish, calfskin can be prone to scuffs — so take care around rough surfaces, and buff lightly with a soft cloth to reduce minor marks.

- To keep calfskin in top condition, apply a small amount of leather conditioner when the leather begins to feel dry or dull — typically every few months, depending on use. Always test in an inconspicuous area first, as calfskin can darken slightly with conditioning.

- Clean gently with a soft, dry cloth. For light dirt, use a slightly damp cloth with a mild soap, but avoid excessive moisture. If it does get wet, blot the leather dry with a cloth and leave to air dry naturally — never dry with a heater or hairdryer
